Position: Food and Beverage Manager

Large Resort /Hotel based in Ballito is looking for a suitable candidate to fill the above position.

Purpose of the Position
  To oversee the food and beverage department

Key Performance Areas
 
•    To assist in motivating the food and beverage team
•    To assist in cashing up the different shifts whilst on duty
•    To assist with stock takes where required
•    To assist in ensuring the team follows policies and procedures at all times
•    To keep all team members sales focused and up-selling
•    To carry out departmental training as scheduled
•    To be a host and communicate to guest ensuring the service is according to our standard
•    To be a hands-on person and understand the micros system to the fullest
•    To always liaise with the front office in terms of bookings and meal inclusive
•    To ensure all F&B areas are covered
•    To ensure staff briefings are conducted per meal times

Required Skills

Must have matric, diploma in hotel management or equivalent qualification or must have minimum or 2 to 3 years of experience
•    Experience in micros system and food and beverage operations will be an added advantage


Candidate Requirements/Competencies Required

•     Must have good communicating skill written and verbal
•    Computer literacy essential well organized and focused on service delivery
•    Passion and enthusiasm for industry ability to work under pressure prioritize and multitasks
•    Professional and well-groomed
•    To be able to work unsupervised and meet set deadlines
