DINING

We had a fantastic stay, beautiful well equipped lodges in a quiet setting. We stayed in the Duddon lodge which is the only one with a covered hot tub which enabled us to use it every day even though the weather was wild. Comfortable bed and large bathroom with bath and shower, parking right next to your lodge. We also ate in the restaurant great food great atmosphere very friendly and welcoming. We were also impressed with the phone call after our first night from reception to make sure everything was okay and if they could help with anything. Never done this kind of thing before so have nothing to compare it to but really don’t know how it could be improved. Well done

We had a lovely weekend here. The lodge was so comfortable but what made it so great was the staff. The lady on reception gave us a gift box for the dog which was a lovely touch. She then took my daughter to choose some peacock feathers to keep and told her all about the peacocks. Made her day. The on site restaurant was beautiful and the lady serving us (who made the beautiful cheesecake) was lovely. All of the food was great. We'll be back hopefully. Thank you.

3rd time being at brockwood and as always it's a beautiful place and location. We are currently staying at whitecombe witch is dog friendly. It's a 4 bedroomed lodge overlooking blackcombe the hill it's self. So peaceful and quite. It has a shop which is really handy and has loads of leaflets for millom and the surrounding lakes. Our little dog got a little box of our arrival which is a good touch. First time that's ever happened. All information you need can be found via QR code which again is really handy. The restaurant is open Tuesday - Sunday 5 - 9. Been in before food is lovely and the staff is friendly. All the lodges are really good, clean and have everything you need for your relaxing stay. It's such a brilliant and quite place and a great base to start exploring the amazing lakes.
