Our second stay at Brockwood, and once again, all I can say, is exceptional! The onsite restaurant “Billy at Brockwood” is absolutely superb. I’ve not tasted steaks like it, and the owner/chef is the nicest guy you could possibly meet - and even gave our Lab a free doggy ice cream - which she loved! Another excellent week, with excellent food and drink at Billy @ Brockwood. Five gold stars to Brockwood and Barry the chef.

We recently stayed here at the beginning of august. We had a fantastic time. Absolutely lovely place. The lodge we stayed in the leven while looking small on the outside was a really good on the inside. Excellent decking ideal fo the dog. Love that the hot tub has a privacy type screen. Also hot tubs clean, and nice and hot. Also good WiFi signal in the lodges as well. The onsite staff are super friendly and helpful. Lots of fun things to do with the kids. The onsite peacocks are really relaxed and pretty friendly. While the lodges are furnished with everything you need to cook with there is the onsite restaurant which the food is reslly good. You have the beach a 10 min drive away and things like Ravenglass, eskdale railway not far away. The only downer and its just a very minor thing, is that the oven in our lodge the setting and temperature dial symbols had all been worn of so it was difficult to work out what settings did what and the shower head holder was cracked so you couldnt adjust the height. Other than that it was fantastic would defo come back.

We recently visited Brockwood Hall for a week in August. It was a great base from which to explore the Lakes, very relaxing and perfect to return to after a good day out. Our lodge was spacious, clean and tidy, offering an home from home environment. Also the reception staff were informative, helpful and professional. They were engaging and good fun too. The high scores given are genuine. Whilst lodges typically need maintenance, overall our lodge was in good shape and well equipped too. We'll absolutely be looking for a return visit.

Another beautiful stay at Brockwood Hall. We absolutely love it and it was like ‘coming home’ again as it has such a calming atmosphere to it. We had the ‘peacock lodge’ again and it was spotlessly clean, the high quality bedding from Fishers Zhen makes such a huge difference to a relaxing sleep. We had another meal at Billy Brockwood with our family who live in nearby Silecroft and as always Barry the amazing chef made us all the perfect steak. We walked around the woods through the stunning grounds and saw the beautiful play park and picnic area for people to use, along with the giant chess, table tennis, basket ball games dotted right next to the main entrance on the lawns. Brockwood hall was very busy which just goes to show how popular it is and we know people who have been visiting there for over 35 yrs, a testament that Brockwood Hall is an excellent place for old and young to stay. We loved the hot tub and it was cleaned every day by a member of staff. The peacocks all came back to visit us along with their new babies and the shop sells suitable food for them which is a bonus. Shop also has a good selection of food, soft drinks and alcohol for people to buy, local Tescos in nearby Millom. We visited Silecroft beach which has a beautiful beach cafe and amazing local icecream ( even doggy ice creams). We will definitely be returning to Brockwood Hall very soon. As I have said before it takes a team of dedicated people to make this place feel like home, from the gardeners, cleaners, hot tub staff, receptionist, and of course to Barry who is amazing and a close friend of my family who live in Silecroft.
