Mandatory Festival Participation Requirements – Private Boat Owners

Attendance at the festival under this rate plan is strictly limited to guests who own their own boat and hold a valid skipper’s licence. All boats launching from Qwantani Harbour to operate on Sterkfontein Dam must have a valid Certificate of Fitness (COF) and be duly registered as a recreational or commercial craft, as applicable. All skippers must hold a valid South African Maritime Safety Authority (SAMSA) Certificate of Competence (COC) or applicable skipper’s licence.

Proof of the required documentation must be presented to a Qwantani representative for inspection upon request. All applicable regulations and requirements prescribed by SAMSA and the Department of Water and Sanitation (DWS) must be strictly adhered to.

Animals

If your dog will be joining you on holiday, please let us know in advance so that we can get everything ready for their arrival. When you arrive, please bring along your dog’s up-to-date vaccination certificate, confirming vaccinations within the last 12 months, and present it at Reception. We happily welcome up to 2 small dogs per room, each weighing under 10 kg, or 1 medium-sized dog per room weighing under 20 kg. Unfortunately, we cannot currently accommodate dogs weighing 20 kg or more. We ask that dogs visiting The Resort are house-trained and comfortable being in a holiday environment where they may encounter other people and dogs. The resort provides cosy bedding and fleece blankets, as well as water and food bowls, but you are of course more than welcome to bring their favourite bedding and bowls from home if that will make them more comfortable. A fee of R100 per dog per stay will be charged, as well as a R1000 refundable deposit per room. Children

Children of any age are welcome at the property. An infant between 0-2 years stays free of charge in a cot (on request). Children between the ages of 3 - 12 can be accommodated on existing beds. Children aged 13 and above are considered adults.
